This winery and winemaker has a long and storied history, dating back to the late 1970s. They have multiple high-90 point wines and appearances on Wine Spectator’s Top 100 Wines of the Year. This wine is on sale right now, with another label, but it will set you back almost $1000 for a case. Honestly, it was a bit of a coup to get our hands on this, but we couldn't be more excited!
The Sonoma Coast appellation consistently produces world-class Pinot varietals, and this 2016 Pinot Noir is no exception. On the nose, dark red fruit and hillside florals explode from the glass. This full-bodied pinot boasts blackcurrants, plum, vanilla and a touch of black pepper on the finish. The finish is impressively long – a fantastic wine! Best paired with: Friends who like to drink exceptional red wine and anything from cool nights & campfires to warm summer sunsets by the lake. Veggies-on-the-grill, shrimp-and-grits, hamburgers, or even your local butcher’s best cut of filet mignon, this wine has the ability to complement nearly anything you care to cook Monday-Sunday. It has a foundation that will make it a much-loved favorite and the complexity that will impress even your most diehard Cabernet-loving friends.
