Wine movies, pizza pairings, decanting, and the wine rating system.
Pour a glass of wine, relax, and give it a read.

In this edition of Read. Drink Wine. Know Things, we are going to take a trip back to 2016 -2020 with some of Brian and Lance's previous blog posts. Exceptional content is timeless and certainly deserves a second look, wouldn't you agree?

Movie Night!

In this 2017 blog post, Brian listed his top 5 wine movies for a perfect movie night at home. Have there been more wine-related movies produced since then? We want to know! Leave a comment and we will add it to the list.

And, movie night wouldn’t be complete without a bowl of freshly popped popcorn! We tend to stick to traditional buttered popcorn and pair it with our 202o Reserve Chardonnay. But, there are some interesting ideas with wine and popcorn pairings in this article from Wine Enthusiast! Get creative and let us know if you find a fun pairing with one of our wines!

Pick your favorite bottle of Claudine, pop some popcorn, and settle in for movie night!

Whether you opt for classic Margherita or get adventurous with creative combinations, the pizza artistry is in your hands. Elevate the experience by uncorking a bottle of your favorite Claudine wine. Cheers to homemade pizza and the perfect pairing!

Aging and Decanting Wine

"A wine has not finished evolving simply because it is in the bottle. Like a living, breathing thing, it changes and takes on new characteristics as it ages.” Aging and decanting wine is a fascinating topic, and we think you’ll enjoy this read.

Our most noticeable decanting experiment with our current wines is with our 2018 Proprietary Red Blend. Pour a glass, take a sip, decant for 45 minutes, then taste again. Cheers!

The Wine Rating System

How much value do you place on wine ratings? Do you only buy wines that have the little card on the shelf with their 90+ rating? Those ratings can definitely influence buying power, and we understand that lure, but many amazing wines are not rated for good reason. Did you know that Claudine Wines once had a wine reviewed and it scored a rating of 92? We have not spent the money or time to have any other wines reviewed since then. As always promised, we keep our prices as low as possible, and paying to play in the wine industry is not how we want to operate.

Here at Claudine Wines, we would actually rather have YOUR review on our wines! It allows us to gain trust with potential customers, and it only takes a moment of your time…and doesn’t cost a dime.
